Find Editor Tools (Unity) (Command Palette for Unity)
Adds a shortcut to unity on Ctrl+T (like 'Tools') to open a command palette that includes all commands that are available in the menu (including all the custom menu-items that are added in your personal project).
Due to thousands of Editor-Tools in our projects at Mimimi Games, we needed a way to not loose track of them and find them more quickly -- this tool is the answer to that. All code is in one file and pretty straight-forward, so feel free to adjust it to your preferences.
Features
- Search & Execute Menu Items
- Automatically 'Rates' items that are used more often and pushes them to the top
- One can additionally Pin/Favorite items, so they're always shown at the top
- One of the most important unique features is this tools' speed. There are many similar tools (including the built-in one in more recent unity-versions) which also include assets and other things, that are left out of this one on purpose, as one wants to open the palette and run tools in an instant -- not waiting seconds first for the palette to open (especially on large projects).
Usage
- Press Ctrl+T
- Type the name of your Menu-Item
- Press Enter
Installation
