MacMistral is a SwiftUI application designed for macOS, allowing users to access the Mistral AI chat directly from their menubar. This app provides a convenient way to interact with the Mistral AI without needing to open a browser or switch between applications.

Installation

Sure, here are the steps to install MacMistral on your Mac:

  1. Visit the MacMistral Gumroad page by clicking Here. Alternatively, you can go to the main GitHub page for MacMistral and click on the Releases tab to find the latest version.
  2. Click on the download link for the latest version. This will download a zip file containing the MacMistral.app to your Mac.
  3. Locate the downloaded zip file in your Downloads folder and extract it by double-clicking on it.
  4. Once the zip file is extracted, you will see the MacMistral.app file.
  5. Drag the MacMistral.app file to your Applications folder. This will install MacMistral on your Mac.

Usage

  1. Click on the MacMistral icon in your menubar
  2. Start a conversation with Mistral AI
  3. The chat interface will appear in a dropdown menu from the menubar

To have MacMistral automatically load in the menubar when you log in to your Mac, you can add it to your Login Items through macOS settings. Here's how to do it:

  1. Open System Settings.
  2. Click on General from the left sidebar.
  3. Click on the Login Items tab.
  4. Click the + button to add a new login item.
  5. Navigate to the location where you have installed MacMistral.
  6. Select MacMistral and click Open.

Now, MacMistral will automatically start and appear in your menubar whenever you log in to your Mac.
