This repository contains firefox and chromium extensions for casting to kawaii-player v2.8+ onwards.

Permission: This extension will require access to tab's current url (so that url can be sent from browser to kawaii-player for direct playing)

How To use it:

• First install kawaii-player.

• Start Media server and Enable remote control on it.

• open web interface and then enable remote control from web interface by clicking R:Off button.

• Now install kcast extension. The extension will create icon on the toolbar and will add context menu option for casting supported links to kawaii-player. Currently it supports direct links to media, ytdl supported links and torrent http/magnet links.

• Icon on the toolbar will provide option to enter IP address of the server and cast now button.

• Once IP address is entered, the extension will remember it till user decides to change it.

• From kawaii-player v2.9+ onwards, the extension can follow media server authentication done via web interface.

Installing Extension:

• Firefox users can get from here.

• Chromium users have to enable developer mode and install the extension externally from chromium-ext directory.
