A Corpus of Cantonese Popular Music, 2000–2020

This repository hosts .krn files of 105 songs of Cantonese popular music ("Cantopop") from the period 2000–2020. The songs were first selected and transcribed for a corpus study examining tone-melody correspondence in the genre. For more information about the study and the construction of the corpus, see http://hdl.handle.net/2429/84374.

Each file in this repository consists the transcription of a song in the corpus and is named after a song ID assigned to each song in the corpus. The complete list of songs is available here. The songs were transcribed in the Humdrum **kern format with three spines containing melodic, textual, and phonetic information respectively.
