httpK3y

Toggle keyboard shortcuts from outside of Firefox or Prism!

Usage

FYI

Replace PORT with port number that you have chosen for httpK3y or with default one – 7700.

Configuration

Giving it a try

To list all available methods (keyboard shortcuts ids) go to http://localhost:PORT/ (without quotes). In response you should be greeted with something like this:

List of available methods

These all are methods that are available for you to use throw httpK3y server. Just navigate your way to http://localhost:PORT/method_name. Example: if you want to open Downloads window remotely, navigate to http://localhost:PORT/key_openDownloads. Downloads windows should appear in front of your eyes.

And of course you don't have to be inside Firefox to open that window:

$ wget http://localhost:PORT/key_openDownloads --spider --no-cache

I hope you get the point ;) Have fun!
