wayback-maltego
Show the latest version of a website from archive.org's Wayback Machine
This is just a quick transform to show the latest copy of a website from the Wayback Machine.
Requirements
Requests Python Module
Installation
$ git clone git@github.com:brianwarehime/wayback-maltego.git
In Maltego, click on Maltego icon > Import > Import Configuration
Select wayback.mtz
You will need to edit the transform to reflect the path you installed the transform in. To do this, open the "Manage Transforms" window, then select the "To Wayback Machine" transform, then under working directory, change this to the path you downloaded the tranform to. If you're using Windows, you'll also need to change the path of your Python install.
Using wayback-maltego
Just drag the entity type "URL" to the graph, then right-click and select "All Transforms", then "To Wayback Machine". If there is a copy of the website it will return a URL which you can then right-click and go to "Type Actions", then "Open all URLs" to open the URL in your browser. The Wayback Machine API only supports listing the latest version, so that's why only one entity gets returned. If there are no copies of the site, no entities will be returned.
